11 WRITER Resources (that every writer should get)

Hello friends! I hope you enjoyed Girl of Shadows, my spring short story! If you haven’t read it, you can find it here.

Now, I want to share with you 11 resources that have been so beneficial in my author journey! Remember to share this with other writers so that the knowledge can be multiplied.

Comment below and tell ME what resources have benefited you!

  1. Reedsy

I’m pretty sure I have fangirled about this before (hehe), but it is such a helpful tool. You can take free 10-day courses on writing, editing, and plotting. (did I mention they were free ;)!)

2. The Young Writer Blog

Great advice and helpful worksheets! They also have an online program which I have done myself! Totally recommend. Find that here.

3. Abbie Emmon’s YouTube Channel

Amazing girl and amazing advice! She has a crazy good plotting series and several Science of Story videos that are simply delicious!

4. Story Embers

A beautiful example of blogs focusing on Christian storytelling and honestly… so helpful!

5. Go Teen Writers

Teenagers especially, have some great articles and encouragement!

For the last five, I posted several of my favorite author websites who have some great previous blogs, even if they are from ten years ago!

6. Marrisa Meyer

7. Jessica Brody

8. Shannon Messenger

9. Hemingway Editor

A great editor for tricky prose!

10. Grammarly

Another wonderful editing app!

11. Here is one that a subscriber recommended! Another great Grammar tool!

So there *drops mic* are eleven wonderful tools that I hope benefit all of y’all! Have a wonderful month of May everyone! I probably won’t be on as much because my family is heading to the Grand Canyon, but when June rolls around, I’ll be back with more fun, more articles, and more celebration on stories!

See ya around!

    1. The quickest way right now is to subscribe. A newsletter is sent out every time a new blog is posted so that people can find and read them! Also, there are most extras for short stories, challenges, and yes, memes!

  1. Have you ever considered about adding a little bit more than just your articles? I mean, what you say is important and all. But think about if you added some great visuals or videos to give your posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with images and videos, this website could undeniably be one of the best in its niche. Amazing blog!

    1. Oh, thank you! Very encouraging! Thank you for the feedback! I have been thinking about starting videos or some more hand-outs. Would that be helpful?

  2. Hey Eden & Friends!
I saw in this article that you wanted us to share any resources that have helped! I have really enjoyed a Christian author that blogs about writing. Here is a link to his website!!!

Also thank you so much for being a light of inspiration to aspiring writers!

  3. I’m impressed, I need to say. Actually rarely do I encounter a weblog that’s each educative and entertaining, and let me inform you, you might have hit the nail on the head. Your concept is excellent; the difficulty is one thing that not enough persons are speaking intelligently about. I am very happy that I stumbled across this in my seek for something relating to this.
